Nessie Exists!
I have to say that Nessie is my most favorite cryptid. Maybe it is because we are both Scots? This has to be one of my all-time favorite photos of her! Pretty awesome, huh?
Okay. I have to be realistic now. At first glance you may think "WOW!!" If you look closely, you can see that "Nessie" is actually a boat wake on the loch. The photo is real and was taken on Loch Ness. Sadly though, Nessie sent another one of her stunt doubles instead of making an appearance. Ah, superstardom has its perks........

I must admit, I love the legend of Nessie and I do believe the family's original castle was on the loch (Frasers). I admit I have zero belief it has or did exist, but I love the romance of the whole thing and I'm just enough of a big kid to go there some day and stand on the shore and stare for hours.
ReplyDeleteThe loch is very mysterious and there are so many tricks that it plays on you. I know that some really big fish are in there sometimes (like Sturgeon) and who knows what else comes and goes. It would be awesome if the Water Kelpie was real! Even more awesome if it was a plesiosaur!
